Digimon Masters CBT Operation Policy
It is a precondition of this operation policy that based on the agreements members agreed to when the applied to use the Digimon Masters (hereinafter referred to as “game”) and CBT (Closed Beta Test) services provided by JOYMAX Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the “company”), indicate that members simultaneously agreed to related service policies, too.
This operation policy is a promise between the company and testers to protect the user rights of testers, quickly counteract to problems that can arise inside and outside the game, and create a pleasant test environment.
Based on the service policy of the company, points that are not stated below shall be handled through an objective standard that both the tester and the company can mutually understand.
Basic Service Operation Guidelines
1. This operation policy is the most important rule, and all testers should be well-informed of the policy.
2. The CBT will be conducted according to the schedule of the company, and the dates and times may change due to circumstances of the company. If there is a change in schedule, the change shall be informed through a notification on the official website.
Important points about service usage shall be informed through the official website, so testers should regularly check for notifications to avoid any inconvenience during service usage.
3. The CBT is a preparation stage before the launch of the official service to confirm inconveniences and abnormalities in the game such as bugs and balance and create a better level of perfection, and provide smooth game services in the future. Therefore, unexpected errors or unstable services may be experienced during the CBT period, and the game contents may constantly change.
4. Characters and game information used for the CBT will be initialized after the CBT ends.
5. The company shall endeavor for order and ethics within the game through the service policy, and make efforts so testers can use the game in a fun and bright environment.
However, in case there are testers who interrupt the pleasant environment or interfere with services, restraints such as warnings or service limitations may be conducted through the service policy and regulations. Other points that are not mentioned in the service policy may be adjusted through the terms of membership, intentions of the operation policy, general common sense and sentiments, and related laws.
6. The company is making efforts to establish a rational operation policy through continuous exchange of opinions with testers to improve the company services and related policies, and better methods may be applied to the operation policy at any time.
Role of the Operator, GM
The operator, or game master (hereinafter referred to as “GM”), is a helper provided to maintain a stable test environment for the testers.
1. The operator or GM collects the opinions of testers as much as possible so the game can be used in more stable conditions.
2. The operator or GM does not interfere with disputes between testers, but may give warnings or restraints when judged necessary based on the service policy.
3. The operator or GM has a duty to check and report on bugs reported by testers.
4. The operator or GM abides by the following:
- Never asks for the password or personal information of a member.
- Cannot change character information or personal information of customers.
However, changes may be made when necessary for operation.
- Does not do anything to put a certain tester at a disadvantage.
- Based on the personal information protection policy, never leaks personal information of a certain customer.
However, information may be provided to a certain organization in case it is set by a related law or there is a request to participate in an investigation of a public organization because of a problem within the game.
- In case a certain system in the game is not normal or is judged to interfere with the test, the related system may be eliminated or the function may be stopped.
Duties and Rights of CBT (Closed Beta Test) Testers
1. In case a bug is discovered during the CBT period, testers can report various bugs through the website bugs board.
2. Any problems such as bugs or errors discovered while using the service, testers must relay to the company, and must not abuse by relaying to or using on other testers.
3. In case anything about the operation policy is found to be unsatisfactory, revision requests can be made anytime through suggestions to the company.
ID Policy
1. Testers must enter their information when registering and must not enter the information of another person. The company cannot provide any protection for problems that arise if registration is carried out with another person’s information. According to the service policy, such an account may be restrained and the company cannot be held responsible in case other legal problems arise.
2. Based on the service policy of the company, in case a tester is judged to be a bad user, the tester may be restrained and stripped of user qualification to prevent other testers from becoming victims.
Character’s Name Policy
All character names can be made freely, but names that violate the naming policy, as shown below, may be deleted without notification.
1. Names that include slurs and slander of other people.
2. Names that make other people feel uncomfortable.
3. Names that are anti-social and go against related laws.
4. Names that are related to illegal actions (including names that encourage cash trades)
5. Names that slander or depreciate certain organizations, races or religions.
6. Names that are swear words/obscene words/slang and are provocative and vulgar.
7. Names that torment others or are violent.
8. Names that have the possibility of violating the trademark rights or copyrights of a third party.
9. In case the name is similar to the character’s name of another person and it is confirmed the new name is pretending to be that character.
10. Names that are judged to have intentions of an advertising effect (including promoting or creating profits for a certain organization).
11. Names that could cause misunderstandings related to company services such as names that indicate the character is the GM, operator, helper or NPC.
12. Names that criticize or support a certain politician or political party.
13. Names that are judged to have intention of cash or account trades.
Names that are not included above but make other testers feel uncomfortable or unpleasant may be cause for measures by the operation team according to the naming policy.
Bad Manners Related Policy
CBT is a test period, and thus guarantees a wide variety of playing types for customers. However, abnormal play such as shown below that can possible cause damages for other testers are subject to restrictions and being stripped of tester qualifications.
1. Use of an illegal program that is not recognized by the company.
2. Abuse of bugs or errors in the game.
3. In case a user swears, pastes the same words everywhere, or slanders another tester.
※ Any action that is not included above but causes damages for others or interferes with company services or tests may be subject to restrictions.
Notice Board Usage Policy
1. The company may temporarily stop the Digimon Masters website with the goal of qualitative improvements and equipment check-ups, and the reason and period of check-up shall be notified except for circumstances when pre-notification is not possible.
2. In case the judgment is made that there is an overload or system disability or problem within the Digimon Masters website due to an overload of accumulated board posts, the company may regularly or irregularly delete uploaded posts starting from the oldest posts.
3. Contents that do not fit the characteristics of the board or are judged to violate the operation policy may be deleted through monitoring of various boards.
This policy will come into effect on August 2, 2011.
